Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral sedation comes in the form of a prescription pill you will take an hour before your appointment to help you relax and make your appointment easier. This will be prescribed by Dr. Buck and can be picked up at your local pharmacy. You will feel relaxed and pleasant, and you will be done before you know it.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide is commonly referred to as laughing gas. Nitrous oxide comes in the form of nitrous gas mixed with oxygen that you breathe through a small mask at the start of your appointment. You will feel relaxed and euphoric, and may even get the giggles.

With both forms of sedation, you may relax enough to fall asleep. However, you will be easily awakened and most patients remain generally awake and able to respond to the doctor throughout the appointment, though the details will be fuzzy.

You will need to arrange for transportation to and from your appointment.
